A certified executive coach with decades-long experience as a healthcare executive, David “Dave” Huber is passionate about developing the next generation of leaders and equipping them to thrive in a shifting healthcare landscape. He’s served as an executive coach and mentor to many leaders in healthcare, leveraging his real-world experience to help them advance their careers and organizations.

In his role as founder and president of Huber Advisory Services, Huber advises companies across the health insurance ecosystem (health plans, healthcare service firms, providers and brokers) on a wide range of projects aimed at growing revenue, building capabilities and optimizing business performance. Previously, he served as CFO for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, one of the country’s largest health insurers, where he was instrumental in implementing a competitive value-based care strategy. Before joining Horizon, Huber was a partner at one of the world’s leading accounting and consulting firms.

Huber has served as a board member in leadership roles to numerous organizations throughout his career, including the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, IBM Watson Health, New Jersey Economic Development Authority, Financial Executives International, New Jersey Symphony, and more.

A certified public accountant (CPA), Huber earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lehigh University. Since then, he’s completed his executive coach certification through the Center for Executive Coaching and is currently working toward an associate coach certification (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation.

A lifelong New Jersey resident, Huber splits his time between his home state and Sarasota, FL. Huber and his wife Ellen have been married for 33 years and have two children, Jessica and Derek — both young professionals living in New York City. He enjoys golf, traveling, skiing, family time, and mentoring others.
