Brent E. Wallace, M.D. completed his coach training at the Hudson Institute of Coaching and is certified by the International Coaching Federation as a Professional Certified Coach.
He is a seasoned physician leader, having been the chief medical officer of Intermountain Healthcare for 13 years. Before that he served as Chair of the Intermountain Medical Group Board, Medical Director for Intermountain Home Care, and President of the medical staff and Chief of the Family Practice Department at McKay-Dee Hospital. In addition, he actively practiced family medicine for 26 years in Roy, Utah and served as Medical Director for several nursing homes.
His leadership experience includes oversight of physician relations, medical affairs, clinical quality improvement, post-graduate medical education, informatics, continuing medical education, physician advisors, emergency preparedness, risk management, durable medical equipment and Life Flight.
In these roles, he actively mentored and coached younger physicians, preparing them for increasing leadership roles. He describes these opportunities as the most rewarding of anything he did in his leadership career. He also actively experienced team leadership in dyad responsibilities with the chief nursing officer.
Dr. Wallace and his wife Julie live in Mountain Green, Utah and are the parents of 4 adult children and enjoy their 15 grandchildren.
