Connie Smith-Hein, MS, ACC

Executive Coach

Connie Smith-Hein, MS, ACC has accumulated more than 25 years focused on executive leadership and team building. She works with healthcare leadership teams and executives to become more effective through coaching from a whole-self perspective.

To help leaders accelerate their performance from good leadership to transformational leadership, Connie approaches coaching with the philosophy that everybody needs an advocate to walk with them as they journey through awareness, transitions, and sometimes roadblocks. She knows that the power of sustainable change can come from understanding one’s current mental models and helping to reframe those models. She helps her clients to embrace a clear, true personal story as the basis of personal wellness, setting the foundation for better leadership skills and capacity.

A sought-after speaker and facilitator, Connie attends leadership conferences across the country to guide teams and leaders through exercises of self-awareness, leadership competency understanding and growth, change management, and transformational leadership. She works with teams in formation and in conflict. Her coaching experience with individuals and teams helps people to gain new leadership competencies in highly complex environments.

In addition to her work with healthcare executives, Connie serves as Vice President to the Board for the Grand Island Crisis Center. She is passionate about working with church and non-profit leaders and women transitioning into new leadership roles.

Connie holds a Master of Science in Educational Psychology and Counseling with an emphasis on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Studies from The University of South Dakota. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Middle School Education from St. Cloud State University. Connie is accredited in coaching by the Hudson Institute of Coaching and is an Associate Certified Coach with The International Coach Federation.
