Kathy Gibala is a sought-after executive leadership coach with more than 25 years of healthcare industry experience and over 15 years as a coach. She is honored to serve as a trusted partner and change catalyst to healthcare executives across the US to raise the bar on their leadership, build high-performing teams, and accelerate transformative change. She also enjoys mentoring and apprenticing new executive coaches. Kathy incorporates neuroscience-based coaching techniques to help executives expand their impact and reach their fullest potential. She has special expertise in executive and physician leadership development, ACO/clinically integrated network team development, onboarding and transition coaching, culture change and succession planning.

She’s held senior leadership, consulting and operations roles with premier academic medical centers and non-profit health systems. In these roles, Kathy facilitated the development and implementation of a broad range of innovative strategies, programs, and services to improve organization performance in nationally-recognized healthcare institutions, receiving national recognition for achievements in the area of culture change facilitation related to building a patient-focused culture.  

Kathy began her career with the U.S. Department of Labor and the National Labor Relations Board, working across multiple industries, which provided valuable insights into how leadership and culture can make or break an organization. She has also partnered with leaders and teams in Fortune 500 companies, associations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, and non-profits. She hosted an interactive, innovative monthly national leadership learning forum for leaders within Anheuser Busch-owned companies via the AB satellite network. Kathy led the Innovator’s Studio team, a living laboratory hosted by Navvis, engaging health industry leaders in leading-edge research and innovation. She speaks on strategic leadership and team development in the new era of healthcare and has served as an adjunct business faculty member at a St. Louis area college.

Kathy was trained as a coach in 2003 and completed a Brain-Based Coaching certification program with the NeuroLeadership Institute. She has certifications in a wide range of leadership assessment instruments and is an avid leader and learner, staying abreast of current and emerging research. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia and holds degrees in Economics, Labor studies, and Political Science.   

She enjoys traveling and trips always incorporate a combination of adventure, history and education. Kathy and her family live in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
