Lee Angus

Lee Angus is president of MEDI Leadership, an executive coaching firm focused exclusively on leadership development in the healthcare industry. A sought-after coach and consultant for nearly 25 years, Lee has directly coached over 1,000 executives and 300 teams in healthcare payer, provider, physician multidisciplinary practices and other healthcare-focused organizations ranging from very small to the largest in the nation. In doing so, he’s helped leaders navigate complex organizational changes and bring radical, measurable transformation to the way business and patient care are delivered.

Lee subscribes to an “inside-out” approach to leadership development, beginning with a focus on personal awareness and understanding of the leader’s strengths and opportunities for growth. As the collaboration progresses, the focus moves outward to the team and organization — optimizing team performance, organizational culture, and results. Lee fosters trust-based relationships and ongoing collaboration with each client to maximize their learning and development.

As president of MEDI Leadership, Lee focuses on the development of employed and independent, contracted MEDI coaches through training and apprenticeship into the MEDI Method™. In addition to his work with executive and senior leaders, Lee is best known for accelerating the effectiveness and impact of a wide variety of health industry clients.

Lee’s early career path had an accelerated growth progression at Deloitte. In that role, he led the implementation of complex organizational systems that drove culture change, similar in size and scope to the adoption of electronic records in healthcare. Through that experience, Lee learned the critical value of leadership: “If leaders aren’t leading right, it doesn’t matter what you build the structure doesn’t matter,” he explains. Lee earned his bachelor’s of science degree in Accounting and master’s degree of Accounting in  Information Systems, both from Brigham Young University. He is also a certified public  accountant. 

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Lee and his family enjoy fishing, backpacking, camping  and skiing in the backcountry of Colorado.
